Nobody’s opinion about our business is more important than our clients’. When folks take a moment to write down their impressions of our work and send them to us, it means a lot. Here are some of our favorite notes from the past five years or so.

We particularly enjoy this email Terrance Smith sent us, as it highlights so many of the efforts we make to go above-and-beyond what property owners expect from a tree care service.

Hi Brent,

Thought you might like to have some feedback on the great job your guys did for our tree removal and trimming.  :)

Your crew showed up right on time, and they were finished when they said they would be finished.

They protected our lawn with large sheets of plywood, and when they were finished, did a wonderful job of cleanup.

The machines were very quiet for a crew cutting down a tree and trimming another one. For much of the work they used battery powered chain saws which were very quiet. Only when they needed to cut large branches and the tree trunk itself did they use gas powered chain saws, and even these seemed pretty quiet compared with some I’ve heard.

The guys worked hard and very carefully. They didn’t allow large pieces of trunk or big branches to fall on the lawn, but lowered them by rope. Even felling the trunk of the tree that was removed was done in a way that protected our lawn and property.

They obviously love their work, and enjoy working together. It was obvious to us, and our neighbors across the street who were watching said this also.

Several of our neighbors told me that when they saw the wood chipper pull up in front of our house they thought, “Oh no! A loud chipper will run all day, making a terrible racket. But, those guys piled up all the branches and only ran the chipper when needed, just once or twice, then it was over.” 

Your chipper wasn’t run all day like some other tree companies in our neighborhood have done, leaving it running the whole time while they do other work. Even our city trucks drive around the neighborhood with their chipper running while they’re driving. Your guys only ran it a few times and then were finished. 

Our neighbors were impressed and told us so.

I’ve recommended Heartwood to several neighbors, as well as to Home Team Energy Company, the company that installed our solar panels under contract from Sun Badger Solar. They were concerned that a tree company might drop branches onto the solar panels, so I told them, “Not Heartwood. They’ve done work for us before and are very careful.” When they heard this, they asked for your company’s contact information, which I gave them, so they could refer your company to their customers.
